Hey everyone! My name is Christine and I am a first-year student from Damascus, Maryland. I am in the Integrated Life Sciences honors program here at UMD and I'm currently a major in Cell Biology and Genetics with a minor in Sustainability (and soon hopefully entomology!). I am also an active member of the Mighty Sound of Maryland marching band, University Chorale, Ballroom at Maryland, and Beekeeping Club! I am passionate about increasing awareness of environmental issues and how people and the environment affect each other, and that combined with my love for travelling is what brought me to Terps Helping Turtles. This will be my first AB trip and I am especially looking forward to learning about life on Topsail, growing closer to my fellow participants, and hopefully taking my first-ever trip to an aquarium! I can't wait to share the rest of this awesome experience with all of you :)
